Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU) is a Fortune Global 500 and Fortune 500 company whose subsidiaries provide insurance, investment management, and other financial products and services to both retail and institutional customers throughout the United States and in over 30 other countries, including Japan.

Computec was appointed by Prudential Financial, Inc. Japan to be the IT Solutions provider for one of Prudential Financial Group companies in Japan. Computec was responsible for setting up all office technology systems, including advanced trading systems for them. Computec’s engineering team worked extensively with Prudential’s US Headquarters technology team, local Technology Managers, and Japanese technology partners and vendors to implement, set up, and test all systems for the respective Japanese branches. Computec was especially responsible for testing and localizing Prudential corporate systems for Japanese compatibility, integrating Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) systems into the environment, and was extensively involved with key business groups and compliance to ensure Japanese government compliance issues for the proper separation of both physical and logical partitions were achieved.

Once the systems were successfully in place and tested, Computec was responsible for all day-to-day support issues including support for external trading systems, internal trading systems, servers, networks, and desktop support plus all other technology issues.
